Back to School 5 Ingredient Granola Bars

These granola bars are super wholesome, and make a perfect, filling grab and go snack! They are vegan, gluten free, and a great source of protein! This awesome recipe was created by Kristan Watson (@kristanwatson). 


  • 2 cups of rolled oats
  • ¼ cup Honey
  • 1 tbs oil
  • ¾ cup seed butter
  • ¼ cup + 1 tbs chocolate chips


  1. Line a 8x8 pan with parchment paper
  2. Measure honey, seed butter, and oil into a medium saucepan and warm over low to medium heat until just bubbling (about 2 minutes), set to low and cook for one more minute
  3. Turn off heat and move off the burner
  4. Stir in oats until fully incorporated
  5. Stir in ¼ cup chocolate chips (they will melt)
  6. Firmly press the mixture into prepared pan
  7. Chill for 1 hour
  8. Cut into desired granola bar size (I made 12 rectangular)

Yield: 12 bars

Prep Time – 10 minutes

Chill Time – 1 hours


  1. These can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks
  2. These can be frozen – individually wrap and place in a sealed container or bag
